My Sunday thoughts and ramblings this week center around my missing follower. I noticed not too long ago that I had reached 76 followers for the blog. I was happy. Well....giddy really. It still amazes me that 76 people find what I have to say interesting. That is awesome.
I noticed late last week that I was down to 75 followers. What gives? I was speaking with a friend of mine a while ago who noticed that he was losing friends on Facebook. He came up with a great idea which was to have an exit interview. I think I need this for my blog.
Dear missing follower number 76....what happened? Did I offend you? Did my writing suck? I know I have dropped the ball lately regarding my posts and I apologize for that. Please come back!
Well, I don't know what happened, but it appears to be me! I didn't mean to do it...in fact I didn't know I did it.
ReplyDeleteHappens to everybody, as folks go in and maintain their google ID's and forget why they followed you in the first place.
ReplyDeleteThere's a bluegrass/roots musician from the Shenandoah I used to pal around with (drink heavily with) named Scott Miller. I saw him one night in Raleigh and a "fan" was heckling him pretty heavy and Scott said, "Hey buddy, I lose fans just like I get 'em....one at a time."
I think of that when I see the number go down by 1 or 2.......it picks back up at some point soon after.
I recently lost several followers because I hadn't posted in a little over a month. I tend to be a bit more forgiving, but some folks will dump you if you don't crank out the content.
ReplyDeleteThanks all.
ReplyDeleteCofisher....too funny. Hope you know I was trying to make a funny post about it. Dont take offense.
