Recently my son decided to surprise me and paint a popper all on his own. Melissa did have to help a little since he is only 5. He was very excited about the whole thing and picked everything out on his own. He also decided to pick out the hackle, tail and legs. It doesn't really all go together but whatever. He was very proud of his accomplishment and can't wait till I fish it. I was thrilled to have him present it to me after it was painted. He sat next to me while I tied in the tail, hackle and legs. Upon completion, he raced down the hallway to find Melissa and show her. Now he wants me to use it. I really don't want to as I am afraid to lose it.
Your son did a great job I really like the detail and colors put into it. Let us know how many fish you catch on your next fishing trip!!!
ReplyDeleteA dilemma for sure. One only you are going to be able to solve.

ReplyDeleteWhere did you get that doo-hicky hanging around your neck? I gotta get one of those.
ReplyDeleteCatch one fish and then frame it along with a picture of the fish and one of him smiling!
ReplyDeleteLove it. And I've caught big fish on much uglier tackle...
