Wow looking back, I can't believe it has been over three weeks since my last post. I have been tying but not fishing. Orders have been received and sent out. Contest flies were sent out. Congrats to the winners. I hope you like your flies.
Recently, I received an email from a friend down south. He got the latest issue of Flyfishing and Tying Journal and saw my photo on page 11. I had sent in some photos to the editor and I guess they picked one. I had my friend send me a photo of the photo since I had no idea which one they used. They chose to use the photo of Nathaniel and I where I am showing him a smallie I had just caught on my Eagle Claw Featherlight 5wt while using a size 10 Clouser I had tied. Credit for the photo of course needs to go to Melissa. One of my goals for this year was to get published in some way, shape or form. While this isn't really what I was going for, I will take it. I still would like to get published at some point. Maybe in the near future?

Luscious Lemon = Success
I got an email from Mark yesterday over at Northern California Trout. Mark wanted to know if I had seen his post the day before. Truth be told, I had not which I said as much. I have been under the weather lately and keeping up with all the blogs has been a challenge. Anyways, I hopped over and checked out the post. Mark had placed an order for some poppers a while back. On October 2nd he was able to use them and catch his first bass on a popper. The Luscious Lemon scored for him. As a reader, blogger, and tyer, this is the kind of thing I love to see. Not to sound too girly but it does my heart good to hear and see someone use our poppers to (a) catch fish and (b) catch their first bass on a popper and (c) have fun. If you have a chance, pop on over to check out Mark's blog here and Mark congrats! I can't wait to see what else you catch with them.

Contest Time Again
We are holding a contest over at our fan page on Facebook. We will be giving away two dozen flies, a dozen a piece to two lucky winners. All you have to say is "I'm in" to have a chance at winning. If you are feeling more adventurous, you can come up with a pickup line as well for a chance at winning. Best pickup line will in a dozen flies and the almighty random number generator will choose the second winner. So pop on over and say "I'm in" at least! You can find the contest here: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=407791155949948&set=a.236933903035675.57393.236795366382862&type=1&theater
